Jack wandered through the halls of Avengers Academy, nodding in acknowledgment to the students who did the same to him, and ignoring the brats who whispered things about him being a jerk teacher. If he'd had something in his hands he might have chucked it at their heads, but he was being the bigger man--well, now anyways, earlier today he hadn't been so much. Jack found the classroom he'd been looking for easy enough, Ms. Paladin was one of his favorite co-workers and one of the only ones who he didn't think was a complete idiot. He rapped his knuckles on the door curtly before entering, knowing full-well she didn't have a class at the moment.
"Paladin," He said politely. He'd brought coffee for the two of them, they were java buddies obviously, so he placed her cup down before her and took a seat in front of her desk, "How's your day been?" Paladin was the history teacher, mostly because she still worked with the Avengers, unlike himself. Jack pretty much taught whatever was needed. Science, physical education, and even sometimes math. He would teach heroing-related classes as well, but he normally didn't have much patience for that. Jack stroked his wiry beard thoughtfully as he listened, the thing that he adored most about Paladin was their shared dislike for spoiled brats. "Well, I'll tell you what happened to me. I was trying to organize a basketball game between my class today, y'know teach them teamwork and all that." Jack paused with a sigh, "But this one little shit, would not shut his mouth, so I chucked the basketball at his head. Hit him square in the face." Oh yeah, Avengers Academy, it was all business.
Jack grumbled and shook his head, "Kids these days, seem to think having powers gives them a reason to be rebellious punks because their 'life isn't fair.'" Oh boy, Jack was gearing up to one of his 'you know, in my day...' speeches. Not that Paladin hadn't heard it all before.
