He’s prone to sarcastic quips and making verbal jabs at others. Generally his goal when talking to someone is to push all their buttons until they get mad at him. By no means is he the perfect friend, but assuming you can live through his initial assault on your character he often mellows out enough to be tolerable. Basically anyone is welcome to be his friend, assuming you have a thick enough skin to tolerate his attitude.
( HATESHIPS ) Sooooo, I kind of expect there to be a lot of these just because of how much of a dick Fletcher is. As an independent super he’s also fair game for anyone’s crosshairs, since he tends to choose sides based solely on what he thinks is best within a situation. Ultimately though he’s a good guy, not so much by choice but by simple fact that his God makes him go be heroic. Or puts him in situations where he has to play hero if he feels like surviving. I’d really love to find that one person who he constantly argues with no matter what, and if they ever didn’t argue it would make people fear the apocalypse is coming.
( LOVESHIPS ) Relationships aren’t really things Fletcher normally bothers with. He’s certainly been with women before, but none of his relationships have ever really panned out well. Mostly it’s Fletcher’s own fault since he’s just too much of an ass for any decent woman to ever stay with him. If you feel up to trying to tackle him and his love life go ahead. I dunno, I’m kind of bad at plot pages and stuff. XD [/style] | |

Fletcher totally pushes all the wrong buttons on Leta, most likely because he thinks it's a riot to watch someone as subdued as her lose her temper. I'm not sure what would set her off... I think we need to role play these two meeting before anything is set. But I already know off the bat that he'd piss her off. Still, if he were in trouble, she'd save him and she believes he'd have her back as well. She believes that even though he really, really bugs her and makes her want to punch him that he's still a good person. You know, deep down.
As for Caterine/Paladin, she absolutely loves Fletcher. She thinks he's a laugh and a half and I can see the two of them insulting each other often out of playfulness. And since he hates cars and such and Paladin would practically marry her motorcycle, I'm sure she jokes a bit about running him over some day. They're probably drinking buddies, although like most people Paladin wouldn't trust him enough to show him her true face or name. But perhaps she'd tell him to call her Kay, which is what she tells some people she's close to in the hero business call her. Also, I'm sure they used to cross paths a lot on missions and that's how they got to know each other. Sometimes as allies, maybe even a few times as enemies. If anything, they have good, solid relationship and dare I say a more harmonious connection than most people would think.

Is it wrong that the idea of Fletcher making Leta pissed off fills me with glee? Probably. Oh well, I've kind of known I was going to hell for such things anyways. Might as well embrace my inner sadist. Ahem-ANYWAYS-But yeah, this whole plot sounds fine to me. I'm sure Fletcher would get a real kick out of getting a rise from Leta, though I don't really know what he could say to tick her off either. I'm sure I'll come up with something though. ;D And yes, despite being a total jerkface Fletcher isn't the kind of guy to leave someone hanging. He still has a sense of morals after all. He's just rather flippant with them most of the time.
Oh gosh, someone who can actually take his insults and attitude. There need to be more people like Caterine who can take a good verbal jab and just smile over it. Fletcher certainly does. Seriously, the quickest way one can get into his good graces is to shoot back at one of his comments with one of your own. Instant respect points. But yeah, I like the idea of them having a really solid sort of friendship and stuff.
So yeah, tl;dr I totally dig everything you said and can't really think of anything to add to the matter.

your reply to will in the games made me think of an interesting friendship between these two. she could definitely be like a little sister to him and constantly reprimand him for being mean by like, smacking him on the head with her binder or something. she'll be like, "stop being mean!" or "say thank you!" and threaten him with, "don't make me chase you in my car!" i can see a very loving brother/sister relationship here.
if she was capable of hating people, she'd probably have a very little tolerance for him but she sees good in him. her severe dislike is saved for people from young masters and, well, despite his asshole behavior, he is a good guy and she sees that so she sticks around him. i can totally see her printing stories out for him to go investigate with his superpowers hahaha. "oh dude, there was a murder here, you should go check it out! come on, please?" and totally bother him to get him to fight some crime. aww yeah.
but yeah, just a random idea i had. feel free to shoot it down completely haha. fletcher is just too awesome to not plot with. ♥ eiffel.

Oh God, this. Just. Yes. On so many levels.
Fletcher absolutely needs someone who can put up with his shit and still manage to tell him what not to do. Plus threats of any kind involving motor vehicles are a good way to make him fall in line. More than the scolding and all that entails however is the idea of someone for him to act brotherly for. He doesn't exactly make a big deal of it, but Fletcher never really had a family growing up. His mom died when he was a young kid from an epidemic that swept his planet, and his dad got killed sometime in his teenage years while working the same job as a lawman that Fletcher himself would later take over. The idea of family is something he's experienced at one point, but hasn't had for a long time and despite how much he might say otherwise he's probably craving it pretty bad deep down. Having someone whom he can sort of let down his guard with and get that feeling of family again would be really nice.
As for the crimes thing, he'd probably bitch about it but end up caving in to her anyways. Something like "It's bad enough GOD makes me go around saving people's asses, but now I have to deal with you too?"
He can totally let her fuck shit up on the private firing range they have for the custom gunsmithing shop he works for. Just a random thought. The thought of Willow manning a fifty cal. machine gun with Fletcher behind her making sure she doesn't kill everyone just popped into my head and I couldn't help but suggest this.
So yeah, I'm totally digging this. Let's make it happen.

i just laugh at the idea of will threatening him with a car. "if you're a bad boy, we'll put you in the car again. you don't want that, do you?" oh the lolz. and she would definitely be the little sister he never had. ♥ she could even invite him over to her house for thanksgiving so he'd have some quality family time and be like part of the crazy warren family! d'aw what a heartwarming image hahaha.
and oh lord, that image is too great. that should be our first thread, i am so down for this. "okay, so this is the trigger and-- BAM!" lesson one, pull the trigger when you know for sure what you're shooting at. hahaha oh man. i can see her totally running around with a runner and pretending to be someone from 007 or something. fuck yes.
do you want to start it or shall i? [:

Cars man. They're the bane of Fletcher's existence. A Warren family Thanksgiving sounds really interesting, especially because Fletcher doesn't usually celebrate Earth holidays. Mostly because he has no one to do so with. It'd be interesting to see how he'd react in a setting like that.
Lord forgive me for the gun toting maniac I have unwittingly unleashed upon the world.
Um, would you mind starting? I could probably put something together if it's to much of a hassle, but my introductions tend to get rambly if I'm not careful and turn into monstrously long level 9 text walls. That or they're really short and sucky. XD
